In late August 2025, I responded to an open call entailing submission of an emotionally driven body of hand-pulled etchings from the early 2000’s. There always does seem to be an entry now and then that regardless of acceptance or not, I simply know there is something I’m meant to learn from the process. This was one of those times.
It was a humbling experience to have worked with this organization and to be included amongst 14 artists of such caliber. The bar was set high, and I am eternally grateful for everyone’s expertise and patience. A special thanx goes to my editor, Margaret Niven.
I’ve included the editorial crew’s statement below. And I invite you to not only enjoy this stunning and contemplative annual, but to visit the CA Society of Printmakers website, as well.
