Roxie is a fine artist and educator based in the Mid-Hudson River Valley of NY State. Her distinctive approach to contemporary abstraction embodies a profound engagement with both process and presentation. Densely layered surfaces and traces of human presence draw attention to our global vulnerability, as well as personal struggle(s) to navigate and heal within the fleeting and fragile dimensions of our daily experience.
On a personal note…
“As a young child, my surroundings often changed in a heartbeat. I sought comfort in my creativity. And given time, this blossomed into a source of solitude, reflection and freedom.
I deeply love this process. Something remarkably fresh and filled with possibility awaits discovery there.”
“Every day I wake knowing a definitive moment will arrive when the urge to create will swallow me whole.”
